DDS would like to announce the availability of a full-time Institutional Maintenance Foreman position working in the Northeast Region for the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Institutional Maintenance Foreman reports to the Director of Core Services and is responsible for the direct supervision of all maintenance department heads including the Painter, working foreman and Tractor Driver. The IMF is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations of the maintenance department. Meets daily with the Director of Core Services, and departmental supervisors and staff to discuss operational issues and project management oversight. Coordinates with OSS I providing support for Central supply operations as necessary. The IMF orders supplies, and equipment that maintains an appropriate inventory to meet the routine daily demands of the dept. & facility. Performs all duties assigned by the Director of Core Services. Assists the DOCS with Project Management working closely with vendors. The IMF is responsible for monitoring staff ensuring that safety procedures, policies and procedures of the facility are being observed by staff. Promotes an environment of departmental transparency and accountability. Assists the Director of Core Services and Office staff in all life safety administrative oversight and compliance. IMF provides support as directed for Federal, State, and local jurisdictional compliance. The IMF in concert with office staff and departmental supervisors collaborates with unit supervisors with the scheduling of projects. DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IMF delegates responsibility and oversight to departmental supervision in each licensed discipline. Assists the director writing up specifications for projects that need to go out to bid with state vendors. Assists the director ensuring that contracts are being adhered to by outside contractors. Must clearly and concisely communicate directives to staff in person, or by Cell phone and e-mail /texting. The IMF is on call after scheduled working hours and must respond to emergencies. IMF or his designee are responsible for storm management operations. Collects data creating reports for the Maintenance Director. Must be fit and able to work in different positions lift 70 lbs repetitively, climb ladders and scaffolding and be on your feet for extended periods of time during the tour of duty. Assists the Director in staff development and training. Assists the director in the development, implementation and monitoring of a safety program at HRC. Assists the director in Project Management and in developing a strategy, planning, budgeting, and execution of in-house and out sourced work. Assists the director in the compliance of all life safety responsibilities. Assigns work to the maintenance department staff and monitors their progress in CAMIS and in the field. Reviews daily staff sign in sheets. As directed by the director reviews staff time submittals in SSTA with the OSSI to ensure accuracy. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the facility. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all jurisdictional areas of operation. Meets with outside vendors working out the logistics associated with contracted work. Monitors all vendor activity and progress reporting project status to the Director. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records. Insures that all affected parties are properly informed ahead of any planned maintenance operations thus effectively working out the logistics with the jurisdictional supervision. Performs the annual 3 part EPRS on Staff. When Director of Core Services is off the IMF. Will be responsible for all operations. Informing the Director of any emergencies. Follows up on CAMIS work orders prioritizing with dept. supervisors and provides oversight upon completion of task. Responsible for the operational integrity of all the Departments power equipment, and Heavy Equipment. Maintains an equipment maintenance log. Scheduling service at the proper intervals per the manufacturer's suggested preventive maintenance schedule. Delegates responsibilities to staff checking their progress as needed. Promotes the importance of good work & safety practices through mandatory safety webinars and classes. Preferred qualifications: Have and maintain an aerial and scissor lift certificationsand Ma. Hoisting engineering licensure 2A/1C min. An EPA universal certification in refrigeration. Trade licensure is preferred.
