Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead receivables operations for a Contract opportunity based in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for a finance leader who can combine team leadership with a practical approach to improving collections, cash performance, and reporting across a complex, multi-entity business. The position will work closely with senior finance stakeholders to strengthen working capital results, deliver clear operational insight, and support scalable accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

Direct daily accounts receivable and commercial collections activities, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances and consistent execution across multiple entities.

Lead, mentor, and develop an AR team by setting clear expectations, tracking performance, and promoting accountability and collaboration.

Design and execute collection strategies that improve cash inflow, reduce delinquent balances, and increase recovery outcomes.

Analyze customer payment trends, aging accounts, write-offs, and recoveries to identify risk areas and recommend corrective action.

Prepare recurring AR reports and dashboards for finance leadership, highlighting aging performance, cash collections, portfolio trends, and team productivity.

Partner with billing, revenue operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve disputes, address payment issues, and improve overall payment behavior.

Manage escalation efforts for overdue accounts, including coordination with external collection partners when appropriate.

Identify and implement process enhancements, automation opportunities, and system-related improvements that increase efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and operational scalability.
