Job Title: Box Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and professional box truck drivers to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering products to various locations, including NYC, Long Island, the Hamptons, Philadelphia, and NJ. This role involves direct drop-offs to stores and restaurants rather than dock-to-dock deliveries. Depending on your assigned route, a typical day can involve 20 to 40 stops. Drivers in the city will have the assistance of 1-2 helpers, while those in NJ will handle loading and unloading independently. This is a physically demanding role, requiring awareness of the physical nature of the tasks involved.

Responsibilities

Deliver products to assigned routes including NYC, Long Island, the Hamptons, Philadelphia, and NJ.

Conduct direct drop-offs to stores and restaurants.

Manage loading and unloading of cases of alcohol weighing up to 40lbs.

Operate an 18 ft Box Truck with air brake systems.

Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and maintain timely deliveries.

Essential Skills

Experience with box truck driving and air brake systems.

Ability to load and unload trucks independently.

Consistent capability to lift up to 40lbs.

Maintaining a clean driving record.

Ability to drive for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional demeanor and reliability.

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Work Environment

You will be working with an alcohol distribution company. The role involves significant physical activity and requires working with delivery helpers in city routes. The job demands adherence to safety protocols and professional conduct in all interactions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
