A Brief Overview
The Acquisition & Commercial Credit Card Manager (AM) is responsible for developing and executing acquisition strategies for consumer lending products through traditional channels, including credit cards and personal loans, as well as for commercial credit cards through an omnichannel approach. This role leads customer acquisition and commercial portfolio growth, including lifecycle optimization, while ensuring alignment with profitability, risk, and customer experience objectives. The position also oversees the commercial credit card portfolio, driving usage, retention, and profitability through targeted initiatives while maintaining the competitive positioning of retail credit cards and personal loans.
This role requires a strong sense of urgency in response to a rapidly evolving competitive landscape, along with a structured mindset that helps drive innovation, product design, and the execution of tactics and strategies.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of sales strategies and tactics to achieve or exceed acquisition goals while maintaining return on investment through traditional channels. Identifies high-potential segments, maximizes product placement, and leverages internal traditional channel advertising to achieve portfolio growth goals within budgeted cost-per-new-client targets.
Builds strong relationships and collaborates frequently across multiple departments, business units, vendors, and service providers throughout FirstBank to secure approvals and support the successful implementation of innovative solutions.
Departments: Testing and Systems Administration (TSA), Business Reporting (BR), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Corporate Risk Management (CRM), Compliance (BSA/Regulatory), Project Management Office (PMO), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Network and Systems.
Business Units: Consumer Business, Branch Administration, Business Banking, Corporate Banking.
Vendors and Service Providers: FIS (LOCAL and GLOBAL), TSYS, ITDG, Others (TBD)
Executive Communication and Governance:
Presents solutions, business cases, and supporting documentation to obtain approvals for product implementations and launches from oversight and senior management committees, including:
Steering Committees
Senior Management
Other Executive Management Team ad-hoc meetings
Leads commercial/corporate credit card acquisition strategies and tactics through different channels in strong partnership and collaboration with the Branch Network, Small Business, and Corporate Banking groups. Monitors, measures, and implements different tactics to achieve business results through these channels.
Measure existing and new product/service performance, modify offerings as necessary by assessing emerging trends that allow FirstBank to deliver innovative solutions that improve personal loans customer experience. Maintain documented competitive, market and commercial customer needs analysis (including but not limited to):

Leads efforts to develop a strategy jointly with key stakeholders to implement and sell a product, involving planning and assisting in the development, marketing, and distribution of potential new features.
Provide a clear plan for launched products and services, outlining goals as well as potential risks, challenges, and opportunities.
Research and document product requirements to ensure that products meet business needs, performance objectives, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Responsible for managing assigned portfolio of programs to ensure retention and growth of Commercial Card spend. Monitor and maintain good working relationship with stakeholders and provide monthly/bimonthly touch points.
Participate in the full Commercial Card sales cycle to attain successful client experience. Monitor the pricing of deals (rebate, fees, and rewards) to ensure profitability for each program.
Owns the acquisition funnel monitoring process for traditional channels: develop, track and implement metrics to better understand the areas of opportunities and strengths.
Provides acquisition goals and assumptions for budget development.
Manages stakeholder and program communications related to strategies, tactics, and/or projects or assignments within Consumer Business.

What You'll Need:
· Required Bachelor's degree p referrable in the following areas of study: Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology/Systems, or Accounting.
Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology/Systems, or Accounting. 10-15 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing management, product management, or related areas.
