Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
The General Production Worker supports automated manufacturing operations by transferring, stocking, loading, and unloading materials for production lines that manufacture airbag inflators. This role follows established quality procedures, performs visual and dimensional inspections, and may complete rework on inflators to ensure products meet required standards. The position is physically active, requires comfort working around explosives, and involves operating in a highly automated, climate-controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
Transfer, stock, load, and unload materials for the production lines, including items such as diffusers, holders, retainers, initiators, o-rings, end caps, sleeves, canisters, filters, tubes, disks, foil seals, springs, support barrels, shorting clips, labels, and generant.
Support automated production equipment used to manufacture airbag inflators by ensuring materials are available and correctly staged.
Perform quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks, to verify that parts and assemblies meet specifications.
Conduct thorough visual inspections of parts and finished products to identify defects or nonconformities.
Check, correct, or perform rework of inflators as needed to bring products into compliance with quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with explosives and automated machinery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility and safety standards.
Stand and walk throughout the shift while performing production tasks, material handling, and equipment support.
Lift, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Adhere to all site rules regarding prohibited items and safety-sensitive conditions in the production environment.
Work assigned shifts and overtime as required, including potential 6-7 day workweeks and rotating days off.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per day in a production setting with no sitting work areas.
Comfort working in an environment that involves handling and being around explosives.
Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to work with and around fully automated production equipment.
Basic understanding of general production and manufacturing processes.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail for performing visual inspections and dimensional checks.
Reliability and willingness to work overtime, including 6-7 days per week when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor, general production, or similar industrial roles.
Mechanical aptitude that could support future development into equipment or maintenance roles.
Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with automated systems.

Work Environment
This role operates in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that uses automated production equipment to produce airbag inflators. Team members work on one of three primary shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., or 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The first day of work typically runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., after which employees move to their designated shift. Regular schedules are Monday through Friday; however, current operations require frequent weekend work, and employees must be comfortable working 6-7 days per week. For extended overtime periods, rotating schedules are used, with six days on and two consecutive days off, and days off may fall on any day of the week to provide equal opportunities for weekends off. The environment is safety-sensitive due to the presence of explosives and strict rules apply: lighters, matches, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, vape pens, and e-cigarettes are not allowed on site and must remain in personal vehicles. Work is performed on foot with no sitting work areas, and employees regularly handle materials up to 40 pounds while supporting automated production lines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.55/hr.
