Hiring a Warehouse Manager in Westampton, NJ!
The Warehouse Manager leads all receiving, warehousing, materials handling, order picking and packing, distribution, and shipping activities for a primary facility in Westampton and two additional distribution centers in Texas and Nevada. This role provides hands-on leadership to the Receiving, Shipping, and Materials Handling functions, ensuring efficient operations, strong inventory control, and reliable on-time delivery.
Shift/Pay:
1st Shift: 7:30am to 5/5:30pm
Salary range is from $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
Description:
Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, materials handling, order picking, packing, distribution, and shipping across the main facility and two remote distribution centers.
Manage, schedule, and notify staff of incoming shipments to ensure timely and accurate receiving and put-away.
Manage warehousing of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production and customer demand.
Direct material warehousing and delivery to production, ensuring that manufacturing has the right materials at the right time.
Lead and manage staff at all distribution centers, including forklift operators, material handlers, a shipping supervisor, and a logistics coordinator.
Arrange replenishment and transport of materials to the distribution centers in Texas and Nevada, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Oversee pick and pack operations and the preparation of orders for shipment to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
Coordinate shipment loading arrangements and all domestic outbound transport activities to meet customer requirements and schedules.
Determine the most appropriate shipment methods, prepare bills of lading for all outgoing shipments, and generate shipping paperwork for parcel shipments such as UPS and FedEx.
Provide shipment tracking information and shipping documentation promptly upon request to internal teams and external partners.
Maintain shipment schedules and arrange pick-ups with freight forwarders and parcel carriers for inbound, outbound, and drop shipments.
Manage and oversee relationships with freight forwarders and carriers, ensuring strong service levels and cost-effective transportation.
Continuously identify and implement improvements that reduce costs, increase operational efficiency, and improve on-time delivery performance.
Manage inventory cycle counting activities and investigate all variances, implementing corrective actions to maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor team performance through established metrics, provide regular feedback, and conduct formal performance reviews for direct reports.
Qualifications/Skills:
5-10 years of experience covering logistics, supply chain, operations, warehouse, and managerial experience.
High school diploma required.
Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Must possess exceptional communication abilities to relate and convey information to people from different backgrounds and levels in the organization.
Able to establish rapport with their teams, as well as build trusting relationships with business partners and vendors.
Must have mentoring and coaching skills, be efficient at allocating resources, and be able to coordinate and contribute to the team effort in accomplishing target results.
Must be able to solve practical problems and address deviations from projected goals through analytical and decision-making skills.
Must have proficiency-level skills in MS Office applications, relational databases, and ERP systems to successfully perform the tasks.
