Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electromechanical and control systems that support production operations. This role diagnoses and resolves electrical and mechanical issues on low and high voltage equipment, works with programmable logic controllers and related components, and ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering standards and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and install low and high voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for production equipment on a day-to-day basis.
Work independently to diagnose and resolve problems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related components when required.
Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failures in equipment and systems, and repair or replace defective components.
Disassemble, replace, or repair mechanical and electrical components to restore equipment to proper operating condition.
Read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs.
Interface directly with equipment operators and production leadership to understand equipment problems and prioritize repairs.
Use sensing and control devices to monitor, test, and verify proper operation of equipment and systems.
Work with DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives (VF drives), and servo-controlled systems from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens.
Apply a complete understanding of factory electrical machinery systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V.
Apply a complete understanding of relay and discrete device control systems in troubleshooting and repair activities.
Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering designs and applicable Federal and State codes.
Perform both electrical and mechanical service and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Use computer systems, including basic MS Office applications, to document work, maintain records, and support maintenance activities.
Pursue ongoing training and courses to keep skills current with advancing technologies and evolving control systems.
Essential Skills
Minimum of two to three years of experience in industrial electrical and mechanical service and maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens systems.
Strong background in programmable logic controllers, computer systems, and electronics.
Complete understanding of factory electrical machinery systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V.
Complete understanding of relay and discrete device control systems.
Hands-on experience using sensing and control devices in an industrial environment.
Experience working with both DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives (VF drives), and servo-controlled systems (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens).
Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical components of production equipment.
Ability to work independently to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent education is preferred.
Two to three years of related experience and/or technical training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PLC certificate is preferred.
Experience with MIG/TIG welding is preferred.
Experience using MS Office applications is preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred.
Willingness to take courses and participate in ongoing training to keep up with advancing technologies.
Strong communication skills to effectively interface with equipment operators and production leadership.
Attention to detail and commitment to following engineering designs and applicable codes.

Work Environment
This role operates in an industrial production facility working directly with factory electrical machinery and production equipment. You will work with low and high voltage systems ranging from 24V to 480V, as well as PLCs, DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives, servo-controlled systems, and sensing and control devices from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Siemens. The position involves hands-on work around mechanical and electrical components, including disassembly, repair, and installation of equipment. Work is typically performed on-site on the production floor and in maintenance areas, where you will interact closely with equipment operators and production leadership. Appropriate industrial attire and adherence to safety procedures and regulations are expected at all times, particularly when working around energized equipment and moving machinery.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Medical, Dental, Vision, ESOP - Quarterly Profit Sharing up to 10% of salary, has been hitting avg 5%.
