Opportunity summary:\u202FAs a Safety Associate, you are responsible for working with teams and providing safety support for various departments of the organization. The 12-month program is designed to explore different safety functions and systems while learning aspects of the paper and packaging industry.\u202F

Complete an unprecedented skill-building opportunity which prepares its participants for a career in safety and health at Smurfit Westrock\u202F

Receive hands-on training and practical application of safety and health practices at Smurfit Westrock, along with exposure to business and manufacturing processes\u202F

Complete two field assignments where individual will continue to engage with the Safety and Health team on scheduled off-site Safety Audits, Surveys, Process Safety applications, training programs, seasonal outages,\u202Fmeetings, and other opportunities in different businesses and geographical areas\u202F

May be offered an opportunity to gain exposure to subject matter experts as well as key leaders in our manufacturing facilities located across the country.\u202F\u202F

Rotations are selected based on business need and can be anywhere within the United States\u202F

Upon successful completion of the Program, participants may move into a full-time position and continue their career as a safety and health professional\u202F

What you need to succeed:\u202F\u202F

Education:\u202F

Required: Pursuing bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, Environmental or Engineering OR pursuing abachelor's degree in occupational safety & health, Environmental or Engineering\u202F\u202F

Required: Previous intern, co-op or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment\u202F\u202F

Ability to relocate per program requirements\u202F
