Evergreen Lodge, a newly renovated 41-room hotel in Trout Lake, Michigan, is seeking a dependable Maintenance and Groundskeeping Worker to assist with the upkeep, appearance, and operation of the property.
Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities; replacing light bulbs and fixtures; painting; basic carpentry, plumbing, and repair work; inspecting property for safety concerns; responding to maintenance requests; maintaining hotel grounds and outdoor areas; mowing grass; trimming shrubs and trees; removing debris; maintaining walkways, parking areas, and landscaping; assisting with seasonal property preparation; and performing general labor duties as assigned.
The employee will help maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and functional environment for hotel guests and staff.
Schedule: 35-40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications:
No formal education required.
Experience in maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, or related work preferred but not required.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and maintenance equipment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Location: Trout Lake, Michigan.
