THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the legal office by assisting attorneys and staff with work that keeps daily operations moving smoothly. It plays a key role in helping the Office of Chief Counsel meet important legal and administrative needs. As a Legal Office Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:
Regulatory Support: Assist in drafting and reviewing proposed regulations and help track and respond to commenters
Procurement Assistance: Help prepare procurement documents and support procurement processes with staff and counsel
Policy Analysis: Review and develop policies and procedures using independent judgment within established laws and guidelines
Legal Case Preparation: Support attorneys with research, draft memoranda, organize exhibits, and assist with hearings
Document Management: Finalize court documents, ensure compliance with rules, and file materials with appropriate courts or tribunals
Records and Inquiries: Assist with public records requests, subpoenas, and responses to legal inquiries

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days in office/two days telework (or in the office as needed.) In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
Additional Requirements:
You must have two years of experience in preparing and filing court documents.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
