Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Job Description
The Operations Supervisor oversees daily activities within one or more functional areas, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, quality, and value-added services in a large, climate-controlled distribution facility. This role ensures that productivity, accuracy, safety, and service level agreements are consistently met while leading and developing a team in a fast-paced environment. The Operations Supervisor works a Monday-Friday shift from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with flexibility to work additional hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily operations in one or more of the following areas: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, quality, and value-added services.
Assign tasks and oversee the execution of processes in accordance with standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence to quality, accuracy, and efficiency standards.
Manage labor and resources efficiently to meet operational deadlines and customer service level agreements.
Monitor and report key performance indicators on a daily basis to track productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
Foster a positive work environment by providing coaching, development, motivation, and regular performance feedback to team members.
Prepare and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports in a fair and timely manner.
Promote and enforce compliance with all safety protocols to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable standards and regulations.
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
Train and onboard new employees, and provide ongoing training, guidance, and performance feedback for existing staff.
Lead and participate in regular team and departmental meetings to support communication, alignment, and continuous improvement.
Participate in the hiring process by conducting interviews and evaluating potential candidates.
Collaborate closely with other supervisors, departmental leaders, and executive leadership to support overall operational goals.
Consistently drive continuous improvement initiatives and support a culture of accountability and ownership.
Represent the operation professionally when interacting with vendors, internal stakeholders, and visitors.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics OR a college degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in warehouse or distribution operations such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and quality.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and cross-functional partners.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address operational issues quickly and constructively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to consistently meet operational goals related to productivity, accuracy, safety, and service level agreements.
Experience motivating, guiding, and training team members in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours or weekends as business needs demand.
Professional demeanor when interacting with vendors, internal and external customers, and guests.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with warehouse management systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Experience tracking and reporting key performance indicators in a distribution or logistics setting.
Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
Experience conducting interviews and participating in the hiring process.
Ability to deliver clear performance feedback and conduct structured performance evaluations.
Comfort leading team and departmental meetings to share updates, set expectations, and align on goals.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled, well-lit, and organized warehouse facility that manages approximately 155,000 unique SKUs. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with flexibility for extended hours or occasional weekends based on business needs. The workplace offers a comfortable break room with snacks, candy, and free coffee available throughout the building, as well as a recreation area and a ballroom used for company events and team-building activities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $33.64/hr.
