Job Title: Onsite Medical Representative (Indianapolis, IN)Job Description
The Onsite Medical Representative supports the Workplace Health & Safety team by delivering first aid, health guidance, and safety education to associates in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This role focuses on promoting health and wellness, reducing injury risk through proactive engagement, and coordinating care and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries. The position works closely with site safety leadership to maintain a safe workplace and ensure effective response to medical incidents.
Responsibilities
Independently assess and administer first aid to associates for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Provide guidance to associates on injury and illness management and refer care to outside medical providers when appropriate.
Minimize the risk of associate injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement on the operations floor.
Engage regularly with associates and site leadership to coach on safe work habits and body mechanics based on observed at-risk behaviors.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to associates.
Coordinate and maintain workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries.
Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Support site safety operations and function as part of the larger onsite team to address all first aid needs.
Maintain a clean, organized medical workspace and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is monitored and replenished.
Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.
Maintain current credentials in first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support as required.
Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures.
Provide effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response at the site.
Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings and participate in weekly case management review meetings as needed.
Greet new hires for the site and support their orientation by promoting health, wellness, and safety principles.
Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as required by site operations.
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach as part of daily duties.
Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a large fulfillment facility.
Work in an environment with variable noise levels and temperatures, including areas exposed to outdoor conditions.
Continuously climb and descend stairs at sites where stairs are present.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from the Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of hire if not already held.
Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Capability to work safely in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with associates and leadership and provide clear coaching on safety and health topics.
Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care and activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working in an industrial wellness or occupational health program.
Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on proper body mechanics.
Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes.
Proficiency in digital record management and electronic documentation.
Recent military medical experience, such as Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician, is beneficial.
Work Environment
This role is based onsite at a large fulfillment facility in Indianapolis, IN, and requires full-time, in-person presence. The standard training schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for approximately two to three weeks. After training, the regular shift schedule is Wednesday through Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The environment includes extensive walking and standing on concrete floors, frequent stair use, and working around material handling equipment. Noise levels and temperatures vary by area, and some work takes place near loading areas exposed to outdoor weather. The position involves no anticipated overtime per week and is initially planned for a three-month assignment. The dress environment is typical of an industrial and clinical support setting, where practical, professional, and safety-appropriate attire and footwear are expected to support safe movement and emergency response.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
