Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This role involves performing demolition, cleanup, and general labor on commercial construction projects, primarily in school buildings. You will remove and dispose of building materials, keep work areas clean and safe, and travel between different job sites as needed throughout the summer and potentially beyond.
Responsibilities
Perform demolition work in commercial buildings, including removing walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems.
Lift, carry, and transport construction debris and materials throughout the workday, including repeatedly lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Load and dispose of materials into dumpsters and other designated disposal areas.
Use hand tools such as shovels and other basic demolition tools to break down and remove materials.
Sweep, shovel, and clean work areas to maintain a safe and organized job site.
Work on your feet for the entire shift, staying active and productive throughout the day.
Adapt to working in hot conditions and other environmental factors typical of active construction sites.
Drive or arrange reliable transportation to multiple job sites as required.
Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective footwear and using tools and equipment properly.
Essential Skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Experience or strong capability in manual labor and physically demanding work.
Comfort working on your feet all day while staying active and productive.
Ability to work safely and effectively in hot weather and varying site conditions.
Basic experience using hand tools such as shovels and other demolition tools.
Reliable transportation to travel to different job sites as needed.
Ownership and use of steel toe boots while on site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in demolition or construction labor is helpful but not strictly required.
Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with mechanical systems is an advantage.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and support a team-focused work environment.
Interest in growing into leadership positions such as foreman or lead on future projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
