Job Title: Assembly / Receiving Associate - 1st Shift
Job Description
This role supports daily warehouse operations with a focus on electronics handling, shipping, receiving, and kitting activities. You ensure accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and strict adherence to safety and ESD standards while contributing to the efficient flow of high-quality kits and components through the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Perform a full range of warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, kitting, and order fulfillment.
Execute accurate and timely receiving of electronic components, ensuring all items are documented correctly and meet quality standards.
Coordinate kitting operations by picking, packing, and assembling components accurately for production use.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
Collaborate with procurement and production teams to resolve inventory shortages or discrepancies promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards.
Handle and store electronic components properly to prevent damage, contamination, or loss.
Follow all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols and safety procedures while working with electronic components.
Support on-time delivery of kits and components by managing workflow efficiently and prioritizing tasks appropriately.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate daily activities and resolve issues.
Essential Skills
Experience performing warehouse tasks such as receiving, inventory control, kitting, shipping, and receiving.
Proficiency in handling and organizing electronic components in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Ability to conduct and document cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple warehouse activities simultaneously.
Ability to lift and move items regularly, up to the stated weight limit, while following safe lifting practices.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Ability to follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and general safety protocols.
Comfort working in a structured, lean manufacturing environment with defined processes and standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in electronics warehousing, kitting, or manufacturing support roles.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles in a warehouse or production setting.
Attention to detail when handling, labeling, and documenting electronic components and kits.
Ability to work effectively in a small, close-knit team environment.
Willingness to perform both sitting and standing tasks throughout the shift as required by operations.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled and humidity-controlled manufacturing shop organized according to lean manufacturing principles. You work as part of a very small team that typically includes a test operator, an AOI operator, and a team lead who provides direct supervision and guidance. The position requires a mix of sitting and standing throughout the shift while performing various warehouse and kitting tasks, with no frequent heavy lifting beyond the defined weight limit. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to ESD and safety protocols while handling electronic components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shippensburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
