Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This 1st shift warehouse role offers a flexible start time between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You will begin with comprehensive training on 1st shift to ensure you fully understand all responsibilities before working independently. In this position, you use a computer to pull the daily schedule, move raw materials and finished products to their correct locations in the plant, and coordinate the flow of goods to shipping based on production lines and customer quality requirements. You also support cycle counting, shipping and receiving, inventory organization, and accurate inventory accounting within an ERP system.
Responsibilities
Use a computer to access and review the daily production and shipping schedule to plan material movements throughout the day.
Move raw materials from the designated storage area to the appropriate production lines based on scheduling requirements.
Transport finished products from the production floor to the correct storage or shipping locations, ensuring alignment with customer quality and line requirements.
Support daily cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including staging, loading, and unloading materials and finished goods.
Organize and maintain inventory locations to ensure clear labeling, easy access, and efficient material flow.
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets, materials, and finished products within the facility.
Load and unload flatbed trucks, van body trailers, and reefer trailers while prioritizing safety and preventing product damage.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient receiving, warehouse, and production areas to support smooth operations.
Label all inventory stored in pallet racking to make it easy to locate and identify materials.
Scan all packing lists into the system to ensure accurate and timely documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) to perform tasks accurately and efficiently within the ERP system.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts in shipping, receiving, and material handling by identifying opportunities and implementing process enhancements.
Contribute new ideas and provide positive support for existing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in Environment, Health & Safety related activities to help improve safety in the workplace.
Work closely with production teams to ensure they receive parts on time and that customer orders ship on schedule.
Assist in organizing the floor stock area to maintain a neat and efficient layout.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and plant operations.
Essential Skills
Previous experience operating a forklift (stand-up or sit-down) in a warehouse or similar environment.
Experience using an ERP system for inventory, shipping, or receiving processes.
Pallet jack experience for moving pallets and materials safely and efficiently.
Ability to use a computer to access schedules, update inventory, and scan documents.
Material handling experience, including moving raw materials and finished products.
Inventory tracking experience, including basic understanding of stock levels and movement.
Familiarity with order picking and staging materials for production or shipping.
Experience with cycle counting to help maintain accurate inventory records.
Ability to use RF scanners for scanning packing lists and tracking inventory movements.
Commitment to following safety procedures and standard operating procedures in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with flatbed trucks, van body trailers, and reefer trailers during loading and unloading.
Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Comfort working closely with production teams and understanding basic production flow.
Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly warehouse, receiving, and floor stock areas.
Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and Environment, Health & Safety initiatives.
Ability to contribute ideas and feedback to enhance processes and support team goals.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
