Position Summary, Manager of Equipment Engineering

The manager of Equipment Engineering will manage the NY Creates Equipment Engineering Team and the Equipment Support Team. These teams support the 24hr/7day operation of the 300mm facility at NY Creates.

Key Responsibilities

Comply with NY Creates standards and practices

Report on department projects and goals

Plan, Manage and assign projects to project leaders in the department

Plan Semiconductor equipment installations, removals, upgrades and repairs

Plan and monitor budgets for equipment purchase and installation

Monitor communication to the teams on requests for department assistance

Respond to reported issues, at times with a hands-on approach if needed

Delegate tasks to the teams when receiving requests for equipment assistance

Mentor engineers on NY Creates BKM's for a semiconductor environment

Work closely with EH&S, Vendors, Tenants, Partners and HR to accomplish department and company goals

Ensure support equipment is maintained, repaired and calibrated

Specify, order and maintain specific department parts and supplies

Advise on install and maintenance needs on semiconductor and support equipment

Review and approve time-off requests, manage coverage schedules

Hiring and onboarding of new department employees

Other reasonable duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Manager of Equipment Engineering

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline

5+ years of technical or engineering management experience.

Semiconductor processing or Semiconductor maintenance experience

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000

*Posted salary rates are determined upon experience and education
