Medical Scheduler
Location: Queenstown, MD (On-site)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (4 months)
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00/hour (Based on experience)
Start Date: June 22, 2026
About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Scheduler to join a fast-paced healthcare office environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills who thrives in a structured setting and enjoys working directly with patients. You will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, handling inbound calls, and supporting front office operations while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday: Between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (schedule provided 2 weeks in advance)
Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Fully on-site role
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently
Handle approximately 50+ calls per day in a high-volume environment
Assist with patient check-in and check-out as needed
Verify patient information, including insurance and billing details
Direct patient questions and concerns to appropriate providers or departments
Support billing-related inquiries and assist with account resolution
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
Provide general administrative and front office support
Required Qualifications
Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor
Experience in a fast-paced environment (medical, retail, hospitality, or call center)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of calls
Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Comfortable using computers and navigating multiple systems
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
Medical scheduling or patient registration experience
Familiarity with medical terminology
Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
Call center experience
Team & Work Environment
Join a team of 3 schedulers in a collaborative office setting
Work closely with medical staff, patients, and administrative teams

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
