Job Title: Battery Manufacturing Technician
This role focuses on producing battery slurry proto@types and supporting pilot-scale manufacturing and R&D activities within a slurry production team. You will mix large-scale slurries using pilot line equipment, perform routine quality control tests, and support process experiments to optimize cell performance and manufacturing capabilities. The position suits a detail-oriented, hands-on technician who can follow standard operating procedures, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and proactively troubleshoot issues. Flexibility to start the workday before 8 a.m.
Responsibilities
Mix pilot line-scale battery slurries using industrial mixing equipment and follow established process parameters.
Operate pilot line machinery and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform manual tasks such as lifting materials up to approximately 25 kg and handling 50 L slurry batches.
Use respirators and handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with laboratory and plant safety procedures.
Conduct routine quality control tests using material characterization tools to verify slurry and material properties.
Document test results accurately and communicate findings to the team to support process improvements.
Clean mixing equipment, tools, and production areas promptly after slurry production runs.
Manage inventory of manufacturing consumables, including tracking usage and maintaining adequate stock levels.
Maintain safe, tidy, and organized work areas, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
Follow and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mixing, equipment operation, and quality control.
Support guided experiments to define and refine optimal process parameters for cell performance and processing capability.
Essential Skills
Hands-on manufacturing experience in a production, industrial equipment, or pilot line environment.
Ability to mix large-scale slurries and operate mixers and related process equipment, including handling 50 L batches.
Capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting materials up to approximately 25 kg.
Familiarity with chemistry lab safety practices, including respirator use and hazardous chemical handling.
Experience performing routine quality control testing using material characterization tools.
Strong reliability and attention to detail, with consistent execution and adherence to processes.
Experience with quality assurance practices in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
Proficiency in machine operation within a production or pilot line @context.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
Flexibility to start the workday before 8 a.m. on certain days, as needed by the production schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exposure to lithium-ion battery fabrication processes such as mixing, coating, or cell assembly.
General laboratory experience, including pipetting, weighing, sample preparation, or instrument operation.
Experience supporting process experimentation, including following experimental plans and recording data accurately.
Familiarity with inventory management, including tracking consumables and maintaining stock levels.
Comfort working in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
Experience with inspection or production within semiconductor or related high-tech manufacturing environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
