The Job:
The Sr. Manager - Construction Technology Mobile Application Development will lead a global team of iOS and Android developers in designing, developing, and delivering innovative mobile applications for our construction industry customers. Qualified candidates will ensure DEWALT's continued industry leadership by integrating high-quality, cybersecure mobile solutions that enhance customer advocacy and engagement with our DEWALT tool and fastener products. The successful candidate is passionate about delivering robust, secure, and scalable digital IoT applications and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The leader will leverage their technical expertise and diverse experiences to solve complex industry challenges and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership : Lead and mentor a global team of iOS and Android developers in the planning, design, development, and maintenance of construction technology mobile applications.
Mobile Solution Architecture : Oversee the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable mobile solutions leveraging modern frameworks and cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with web and backend systems.
Agile Delivery : Guide your team in a hybrid Agile environment to continuously deliver new features and expanded capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Partnership : Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Tools/Module design and Customer Success teams to ensure excellence in quality, security, responsiveness, and advanced capabilities.
Software Development Lifecycle Process Improvement : Champion application lifecycle management best practices, using KPIs and metrics to drive and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Team Engagement : Inspire and motivate your team and business partners, fostering high engagement and a shared commitment to excellence. Strategic Collaboration : Partner with Product Leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that exceed user needs and drive product performance, supporting tool, device, and anchor sales.

4+ years of demonstrated relevant experience:
Leading on schedule development and delivery of mobile applications for commercial use.
Comprehensive knowledge of iOS and Android development, including the use of tools such as Figma, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, UIKit, React Native and Kotlin Multiplatform.
Successfully collaborating with external partners, vendors, consultants, and Engineering Service Providers to manage overall delivery.
Partnering with Global Sourcing teams to support vendor relationships and assist with contract negotiations and cost management.
Strong global compliance and cybersecurity mindset for secure handling of customer data identified in GDPR, PII, and related evolving regulations and company policy.
Demonstrated experience in technology applied to commercial construction or related industry solutions is an advantage.
8+ years of relevant experience:
Ability to lead others and work effectively with customers and company colleagues in globally distributed cross-functional organizations.
Successfully managing, prioritizing, and assessing the impact of all work items, including new features and defects, and making decisions at the detailed project delivery level.
Development of best practices and execution of development leadership, problem solving, and solution deployment.
Ability to manage team finances and development resources to meet budget targets and constraints, including developing cost models for mobile and cloud-based products.
Leading mobile development teams using Object Oriented Programming Principles and working to agile methodologies and lean product development.
Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Integration with Mobile Applications
Other experiences that are a strong plus include:
Working with product managers and customer stakeholders to define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs), Product Critical To Quality & release-specific success metrics.
Product and Program Management Skills to deliver quality products and services on time, on budget, and compliant with cybersecurity and data privacy requirements.
Managing 3rd party provider contracts for licensed software products and contract resourcing.
Education
Undergraduate degree (sciences, engineering, or mathematics preferred) or 6 years equivalent work experience in digital technologies.
Additional digital technology certifications (especially in mobile development) are highly desirable.

The Salary range for this position is $110,600.00 - $178,000.00
