Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
This role focuses on the fabrication of concrete components using welding and fabrication tools, working from blueprints, and assembling parts to precise specifications. You will use your MIG welding and fitting skills to produce high-quality components in a busy weld shop environment.
Responsibilities
Fabricate concrete components according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Perform MIG welding using .035 wire to assemble and join metal parts to required specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints to determine material requirements, measurements, and fabrication methods.
Fit and align components accurately prior to welding to ensure proper assembly and structural integrity.
Use hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively during cutting, fitting, and finishing operations.
Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while working efficiently in a typical weld shop environment.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while operating tools and equipment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and support new project work that may include overtime.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in fabrication of metal and concrete-related components.
Proficiency in MIG welding, including use of .035 wire.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Strong fitting skills to position and align components prior to welding.
Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and fabrication equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a busy weld shop environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Formal schooling or training in fabrication and welding is a plus.
Previous experience in a weld shop or industrial fabrication setting is beneficial.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and reliability, especially with early shift start times.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with half-day Fridays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The role is based in a typical weld shop environment that can be dirty and industrial in nature, consistent with metal fabrication and welding work. You will work with welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery, and are expected to wear appropriate protective gear and attire suitable for a weld shop setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
