Summary
The Director of Information Technology (IT) leads the technology strategy, operations, and delivery to enable business performance, scalability, and risk management at Miller Milling Company in the US and Rogers Foods in Canada. This role is accountable for aligning IT capabilities with business priorities, ensuring reliable and secure operations, and advancing the use of data and technology across the organization. The Director of IT partners with senior leadership and plant operations to drive continuous improvement, support growth initiatives, and optimize cost, risk, and service levels.
Salary Range: $150,600.00 To $220,000.00 Annually
Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Business Alignment
Translate business strategy into IT priorities, roadmaps, and investment plans
Serve as the primary IT partner to Finance, Operations, and plant leadership
Provide clear trade-offs between cost, risk, and capability in technology decisions
Operations & Service Delivery
Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations across infrastructure, applications, and end-user support
Establish and monitor service levels, system performance, and support metrics
Ensure continuity of operations, including system availability and disaster recovery readiness
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
Own the company's cybersecurity posture, including risk assessment, mitigation, and continuous improvement of the security program
Implement and maintain security policies, controls, and monitoring processes
Systems & Data Enablement
Advance the company's use of systems, data, and reporting to support decision-making and operational visibility
Partner with business leaders to improve system utilization and drive process efficiency
Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, decision-making, and scalability across the organization
Lead the prioritization and implementation of AI-enabled and advanced analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data maturity, and risk considerations
Financial & Vendor Management
Own IT financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
Manage third-party vendors and partners to deliver against service, cost, and performance expectations
Develop and maintain cost-effective technology investment strategies
Team Leadership
Provide leadership, direction, and development for the IT team, ensuring clear priorities and accountability
Foster a culture of collaboration across IT and business functions
Operate effectively in a lean structure, balancing hands-on involvement with strategic leadership
Requirements
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, networks, and enterprise applications
Proven ability to align technology decisions with business strategy, cost, and risk considerations
Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and external service providers
Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to partner across executive and operational teams
Experience leading through change and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of project management practices
Education & Experience
10+ years of experience in IT operations, leadership, and project delivery
Demonstrated experience leading technology teams and cross-functional initiatives
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing environments preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Experience in agriculture or food manufacturing sectors a plus
Salary & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $150,600-$220,000 which includes annual base pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Position is eligible for variable incentive pay in accordance with performance in accordance with an annual bonus plan. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).

Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but requires travel to Eden Prairie, MN office)
