Job Description
The Warehouse Associate supports efficient order fulfillment by accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining organized inventory and a clean, safe work area. This role uses shipping software and warehouse equipment to process high-volume orders at a steady pace and ensure shipments meet company quality standards.
Responsibilities
Pick and pack products for customer orders according to company standards for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
Prepare shipments by generating and attaching shipping labels, bills of lading, and packing slips using company systems.
Use UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping software and equipment to process and complete outbound shipments.
Check inventory for damages and report or remove damaged items according to procedures.
Monitor and manage stock levels to support timely order fulfillment and reduce stock discrepancies.
Organize and maintain the warehouse area so that products, materials, and supplies are easy to locate and access.
Follow all safety regulations and standard operating procedures while performing daily tasks.
Operate warehouse machinery and equipment, such as pallet jacks and RF scanners, in a safe and efficient manner.
Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and record inventory movements accurately in the system.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, staging, and verifying incoming materials.
Perform general material handling tasks, including moving, stacking, and organizing products and pallets.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift.
Handle high-volume orders while maintaining strong attention to detail and working at a brisk, consistent pace.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in warehousing functions such as inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
Proficiency in basic computer use and the ability to work with shipping systems, including UPS, FedEx, and LTL software.
Demonstrated experience with inventory control and warehouse inventory processes.
Ability to use RF scanners for order picking, inventory tracking, and data entry.
Hands-on experience with order picking, packing, and packaging in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and perform general material handling tasks safely.
Capability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling high-volume orders.
Ability to work at a brisk pace while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including preparing shipments and verifying incoming goods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience is preferred and considered a strong asset.
Experience working in a small, tight-knit warehouse team environment.
Familiarity with climate-controlled warehouse operations.
Comfort working with a variety of shipping carriers and methods, including parcel and LTL freight.

Work Environment
This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse section within a combined production and office facility. You will work closely with a small, tight-knit warehouse team that emphasizes cooperation and mutual support. The role uses tools such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and computer-based shipping systems, including UPS, FedEx, and LTL software. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours in a stable and organized setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
