Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting production and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Bloomfield, CT

Pay Range: 1st Shift $17.00 and 3rd Shift: $17.50

Shift: 2 shifts available to choose from

1st Shift: 5:00am to 1:00pm

3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 6:00am

What's the Job?

Safely operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, packaging, and finished products.

Supply production and packaging lines with required materials to support continuous operation.

Load and unload trailers, verifying counts and ensuring proper documentation.

Perform physical movement and accurate system transactions for all materials, including scanning, labeling, and inventory tracking.

Maintain inventory accuracy through timely and precise material movements and reporting.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or GED required.

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.

Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial trucks (PIT) required; certification preferred.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management or ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).

Knowledge of food safety and GMP requirements preferred.
