Day Shift
This role supports a high-volume manufacturing facility by installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems and machinery. The Industrial Electrician ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime through preventive maintenance, and upholds all relevant safety and electrical codes while collaborating closely with production teams.
Responsibilities
Install and configure industrial electrical systems, machinery, and associated components according to technical specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues in manufacturing equipment using advanced testing tools, meters, and diagnostic techniques.
Troubleshoot and support programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems, to ensure reliable operation of automated equipment.
Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), internal safety policies, and industry best practices.
Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure electrical systems effectively support manufacturing processes and production goals.
Install, bend, and run conduit, and perform wiring tasks for new equipment, system upgrades, and facility modifications.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and electrical modifications.
Support mechanical repairs and adjustments related to electrical systems, including work on pneumatic components where applicable.
Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to apprentices and junior electricians, promoting a strong safety culture and continuous learning.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and energy efficiency and communicate recommendations to leadership.
Essential Skills
Experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work with exposure to high-speed production or packaging environments.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and related safety regulations and standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints with a high degree of accuracy.
Proven electrical troubleshooting skills, including the use of advanced testing tools and diagnostic methods.
Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting, preferably with Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms.
Proficiency in conduit installation and bending, wiring, and general industrial electrical construction practices.
Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment that integrates electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail when diagnosing and repairing equipment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, production-focused environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
