Job Description
What We Want The Program Coordinator II in the Routh First-Generation Center within the Office for Student Success will lead a university wide initiative that will be centered around holistic student development. This individual will design, implement, and evaluate programs that strengthen students' career readiness, leadership competencies, and exposure to various post-graduation pathways, including entry into the workforce and professional degree programs. Responsibilities include coordinating program operations, managing events, maintaining program materials and web content, and overseeing data tracking, reporting, and assessment activities. We are seeking an individual with a student-centered approach to offer development support for students. This individual is expected to remain current with educational research and emerging best practices, demonstrate a strong willingness to learn on the job, prioritize collaboration with campus stakeholders, and effectively leverage available campus and community resources. The Program Coordinator II should be adaptable, capable of managing multiple responsibilities, and committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students and campus partners.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of experience in student success, student development, or related work in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or related field.
Experience in developing or coordinating student retention programs.
Intermediate experience with data analysis in a higher education capacity.
Demonstrated experience with EAB Navigate or related student predictive analytics system.
Ability to understand and speak Spanish.
Strong problem-solving skills.
High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and work independently.
Ability to analyze data for retention and graduation success programming.
Knowledge of degree plans, programs, and/or evaluations.
Experience with educational technology platforms and tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, Adobe, Canva, and Google Suite.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite of tools.
Experience with web and email technology.
Experience using databases.
Ability to learn new technology quickly.
Proficiency with COMPASS/Banner and HOWDY.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Program Coordination
Prepares students for successful and rewarding lives after graduation by creating, promoting, and delivering student success programs.
Designs, implements, and assesses programs that promote holistic student development, including career readiness, leadership growth, and exploration of post-graduation opportunities.
Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of programs, resources, and workshops for students and other stakeholders.
Coordinates institution-wide student tracking efforts and collaborates with colleges/schools and departments to identify ways to make programs and services accessible to undergraduate students.
Assesses and reports student data and findings to respective University and college/school leaders.
Develops, maintains, and delivers career and leadership resources and programming across multiple platforms to support students in exploring opportunities and advancing their student development within Texas A&M University and beyond.
Oversees data collection, tracking, and analysis to evaluate program effectiveness and student outcomes.
Prepares reports, presentations, and summaries for internal stakeholders and external partners.
Uses assessment findings to inform continuous improvement of programs and services.
Campus and Student Engagement
Provides student support services, including individualized meetings, to current undergraduate students, their families, university faculty, staff, administrators, and resource providers on a case-by-case basis.
Builds and sustains partnerships with campus departments, faculty, staff, and community organizations to enhance student success.
Promotes cross-campus collaboration to expand resources and opportunities for first-generation students.
Provides guidance, mentorship, and development support to students participating in programs.
Connects students with relevant campus resources, professional opportunities, and community networks.
Administrative
Assists in preparation and monitoring of the implementation and delivery of programs and events within the Routh First-Generation Center.
Provides support to other units within the Office of Student Success.
