SUMMARY OVERVIEW
PrimeFlight Cargo is seeking a Yard Hostler/ Driver to join its growing team at Bush Intercontinental Airport. This position is responsible for moving trailers in and out of specific locations using a yard goat.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate various @types of trucks and vehicles used in airport operations: Ensure the secure transportation of goods and equipment on and around the airport premises
Adhere to all traffic and airport safety regulations: Follow strict guidelines to maintain safety standards while driving within the airport
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections: Conduct thorough checks to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition
Transport goods, equipment, and personnel as required: Efficiently move materials and staff to designated locations
Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo: Keep detailed records of routes, timings, and cargo details as per regulatory requirements
Coordinate with airport staff for loading and unloading: Assist in the careful handling of goods during loading and unloading processes
Respond to dispatch instructions for transport tasks: React promptly and effectively to transportation requests from airport operations
Ensure timely delivery of cargo: Adhere to schedules to avoid delays in airport operations
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle: Keep the truck clean and report any maintenance needs
Comply with airport security procedures: Follow all security protocols for vehicle operation within the airport
Navigate through different areas of the airport: Familiarize with various airport zones for efficient transportation
Report any incidents or safety concerns: Immediately communicate any accidents or safety hazards encountered during operations
Participate in safety briefings and training: Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on safety practices
Assist in emergency situations if required: Be prepared to support airport operations in case of emergencies
Adapt to varying work schedules: Be flexible to work different hours, including nights and weekends, as per airport operational needs
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving
Experience with Hostler
Knowledge of safety regulations and cargo securing procedures
Physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
