Job Title: Electrical Installer
Job Description
The Electrical Installer supports the installation, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems under minimal supervision. This role focuses on the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, terminations, ring-out, and functional testing to ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications. The position requires the ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and to complete tasks accurately within established time frames.
Responsibilities
Assist in the installation and modification of avionics and electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
Fabricate, route, and secure wiring, wire harnesses, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment to specified standards.
Perform terminations, ring-out, and functional tests on avionics and electrical systems to verify proper operation.
Maintain required logs, records, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete assigned tasks within the allotted time frame while maintaining high quality standards.
Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Inspect completed work to verify it is free of defects prior to final inspection.
Follow and support company programs including FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control, tool control, 5S, and all safety regulations.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area at all times.
Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and events to enhance processes and efficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and maintenance needs.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two (2) years of related work experience, or an avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one (1) year of related work experience.
Demonstrated electrical experience in areas such as military vehicles, automotive, commercial electrical work, or network wiring.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, worksheets, and schematic diagrams.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications related to avionics and electrical installations.
Hands-on experience with electrical installations, wiring, and electrical components.
Proficiency in fabricating and installing wire harnesses and associated electrical hardware.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and general software knowledge.
Ability to complete tasks within defined time frames while maintaining quality and compliance.
Ability to follow safety procedures, tool control, FOD control, and 5S workplace organization standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with military electrical systems or service is highly preferred.
Previous work in aviation electronics, automotive electrical, commercial electrical, or telecommunications/network wiring environments.
Familiarity with pneumatic tools and their safe use in a production setting.
Comfort using hand tools such as sockets, ratchets, and related equipment for electrical installations.
Attention to detail in inspecting and verifying defect-free assemblies.
Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement activities.
Ability to work under minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.

Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled, clean, and safe production facility focused on avionics and electrical installations. You will work on a set first-shift schedule, using hand tools such as sockets and ratchets, as well as pneumatic tools and standard electrical installation equipment. The environment follows structured programs for FOD control, tool control, 5S, and safety, promoting an orderly and professional workspace

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.75 - $28.75/hr.
