Senior Accountant

Description: This Senior Accountant role is within the Payroll Accounting team of the People Financial Services organization. Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
supporting 1LMX S4 ledger implementation and the development of new processes/internal controls
SOX internal controls adherence, documentation and reviews
process documentation, improvements, and automation efforts
providing backup support to several team processes such as Sundry administration, wire approvals, daily/weekly bank file balancing, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
Bachelors level degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business field
Demonstrated senior level accounting and analytical skills, as evident and confirmed through related work experience
Ability to independently and successfully research and solve issues
Quick learner with aptitude for various systems and processes
Ability to work successfully in a team environment through collaboration
Demonstrated ability to focus on customers' needs and provide effective support to partners and customers
SAP experience
Advanced level proficiency in Excel

Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of Power Query and automation tools
Ability to identify, lead, and implement process improvements and automation enhancements

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
