Coordinate with contractors and technical field teams to provide construction support, resolve design issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Advise operations teams on system capabilities and functionality to support safe and efficient operation of the transmission network.
Prepare and provide project updates related to labor, costs, and vendor performance to support evaluation and purchasing decisions.
Assist with project closeout activities, including documentation, asset classification, and handoff of as-built information to appropriate stakeholders.
Support activities related to right-of-way acquisition by providing engineering input and collaborating with internal and external partners.
Work with LiDAR data and other survey information to support accurate transmission line routing, design, and structure placement.
Essential Skills
Experience or coursework in high-voltage transmission engineering and transmission line design.
Ability to perform engineering calculations for transmission line support systems with moderate complexity.
Proficiency or strong aptitude in using AutoCAD for transmission line and structure design tasks.
Ability to work with LiDAR data to support routing, design, and field verification activities.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in verbal and written form.
