Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support a contract assignment in Gardner, Massachusetts. This Contract position will focus on reviewing financial and order-related records, confirming pricing accuracy, and helping ensure billing details are properly reflected in company systems. The ideal candidate brings solid accounting knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work carefully through high-volume manual reporting and data verification tasks.

Responsibilities:

Review estimates alongside sales orders to confirm pricing is accurate and aligned with approved information.

Compile and analyze manual reports to validate charges and identify discrepancies within financial and order records.

Investigate billing inconsistencies by gathering supporting data and coordinating with internal team members to resolve issues.

Enter and update accounting and transaction details in relevant systems with a high level of accuracy.

Assist with invoice review and processing to help maintain correct customer billing information.

Support accounts receivable-related activities by verifying posted charges and monitoring documentation for completeness.

Use Microsoft Excel to organize data, reconcile figures, and prepare clear reporting for internal revieew

Requirements - Experience in accounting support, billing, or clerical finance work.

Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes and invoice handling.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to sort, compare, and analyze data.

Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to review large volumes of information and identify errors or inconsistencies.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive and detail-heavy tasks.
