Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
The Production Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by unloading drainage pipes, trimming excess plastic, cutting products to specification, and coiling finished materials into rolls. This role is physically active and involves working with hand and power tools, operating production and packaging equipment, and handling materials of various sizes in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Unload drainage pipes of various sizes from production lines or staging areas.
Trim excess plastic from pipes to meet quality and safety standards.
Cut pipes to precise specifications using appropriate tools and equipment.
Coil finished pipes into rolls and prepare them for packaging or shipment.
Routinely lift materials weighing up to 30-40 pounds and participate in team lifts for heavier items.
Push, pull, and maneuver heavier parts and finished pipes weighing up to approximately 100 pounds, including lifting or pulling finished pipes off scales.
Operate production line and general manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Use hand and power tools, including sawzalls, to cut and process plastic products, following training and safety guidelines.
Support machine operation activities as needed to maintain consistent production flow.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and organizing finished products in the work area.
Monitor work area for scrap plastic and help keep the production floor organized and safe.
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining an accident-free work environment.
Work scheduled shifts and overtime before or after shifts and every other Saturday as needed to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
General labor experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
Experience with production lines or machine operation in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to routinely lift up to 30-40 pounds safely and consistently.
Ability to maneuver, push, pull, and handle heavier parts and finished pipes weighing up to approximately 100 pounds.
Experience using hand tools and power tools in a work setting.
Willingness and ability to operate tools such as a sawzall after appropriate training.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Reliability in following schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous machine operation experience in manufacturing is preferred and considered a plus.
Background in plastics manufacturing or similar materials handling is beneficial.
Experience with packaging processes in a production environment is an advantage.
Interest in learning and advancing into line operator roles over time.

Work Environment
This position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility, which can feel cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The production area is fairly organized and features a brand-new production line, though it can become cramped when large amounts of scrap plastic accumulate. Work involves standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment throughout the shift. Standard shifts run Monday through Friday on three schedules: 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Overtime may be scheduled before or after regular shifts and every other Saturday as production needs require. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and consistent production using hand tools, power tools such as sawzalls, and general machine operation equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $21.50/hr.
