Responsibilities If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for a variety of complex procedural and technical duties related to the formulation and execution of the District budget and financial management activities. Typical work assignments will include: Participating with supervisor or budget analyst in the preparation of budget activities and estimates. Reviewing and analyzing budget reports, classifying errors and taking corrective action to balance errors. Determining that all transactions are properly processed and that total activity agrees with pre-determined control totals. Regularly reconciling accounts and adjusting them to reflect outstanding balances. Liquidating obligations when notified of receipt of goods / services. Preparing invoices and other fiscal items for payment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07 To be eligible at the GS-07 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level. One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level includes: performing a variety of routine budget administration tasks; reviewing budget submissions for accuracy and completeness; preparing reports on the status of funds; receiving and distributing budget documents; providing information to managers on budget and program regulations; and assisting in tracking and monitoring funds. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) - The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
