Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Manufacturing Production Associate
Job Description
This role combines warehouse operations and manufacturing production support in a fast-paced, customer-focused printing ink facility. You will package and label products, prepare domestic and international shipments, and assist with the blending and production of inks. The position requires hands-on order selection, operation of material handling equipment, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards while working primarily on a flexible night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
Package and label products accurately to meet shipping and quality requirements.
Prepare skids of product for shipment, ensuring they are properly wrapped, labeled, and staged.
Prepare product for both domestic and international shipping, following applicable procedures and documentation requirements.
Pull orders to build and prepare skids, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected.
Verify the accuracy of products selected and labels before shipping to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Select orders primarily by hand and move them using electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
Handle shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Blend inks as directed by the Production Supervisor, following established formulas and procedures.
Support ink deliveries using a company truck, ensuring safe and timely transport of materials.
Report potential safety hazards promptly to maintain a safe working environment.
Keep all areas of the facility neat, clean, and orderly, including workstations, warehouse aisles, and production areas.
Operate machinery and material handling equipment with minimal supervision while following safety and operational guidelines.
Work towards daily production and shipping goals with speed and accuracy, meeting deadlines and performance expectations.
Use Windows-based shipping systems and Excel to prepare, track, and maintain shipping documents and records.
Work independently to complete assigned tasks while contributing to a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as part of daily warehouse and production duties.
Adhere to established quality standards and procedures to ensure all production and shipping activities are completed correctly and on time.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience working in shipping within a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
Hands-on experience handling domestic and international shipments, including working with LTL carriers, UPS, and FedEx.
Ability to operate electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently.
Experience in shipping and receiving, loading, order picking and packing, and general warehouse operations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
Attention to detail and basic math skills to ensure order accuracy and correct documentation.
Experience using Windows-based shipping systems and Microsoft Excel to prepare and track shipping documents.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Strong focus on results, with a drive to meet and exceed production and shipping goals each day.
Ability to work at night on a part-time schedule and to accommodate unplanned overtime when needed.
Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in both production and warehouse tasks.
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing environment producing or handling inks, chemicals, or similar products.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and SAP or similar enterprise systems.
Previous experience as an order picker, packer, warehouse worker, or forklift operator.
Comfort working in a customer-centric, fast-paced, and cross-functional collaborative environment.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities beyond core duties.
Ability to report safety hazards proactively and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces printing inks and operates as a leading competitor in the graphic arts industry. The warehouse and production areas include a strong smell of ink, especially around the loading dock area. You will work primarily on a night shift, part-time schedule, with flexible hours between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., arranged as a consistent 5-hour shift (for example, 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. or 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.), and you must be able to work unplanned overtime when needed. The role is highly physical, requiring you to be on your feet approximately 95% of the day and to perform regular lifting and material handling. You will use equipment such as electric pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and other production machinery, as well as Windows-based shipping systems and Excel. The environment is fast-paced, customer-centric, and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and maintaining neat and orderly work areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
