Pay Range: $26-$32/hour

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join a growing mental health practice in Wallingford, CT. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working in a collaborative healthcare environment and are passionate about accuracy, organization, and patient support.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing billing processes from claim submission through payment follow-up.

What You'll Do

Create, prepare, and submit insurance claims through the EHR system (Simple Practice) on a weekly/twice-weekly basis

Submit claims through insurance provider portals, including the Medicaid CTDSS website

Review appointment documentation and billing details to ensure claim accuracy

Monitor claim status and follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims

Follow up on outstanding balances through Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting

Answer client billing questions via phone and email correspondence

Assist patients with billing inquiries and provide clear explanations of charges

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits when needed

Work closely with clinicians and management to resolve billing or documentation concerns

Process client payments and make billing corrections as necessary

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED required

3+ years of medical billing and coding experience preferred

Mental health billing experience strongly preferred

Experience with Simple Practice preferred

Knowledge of insurance claims processing and Accounts Receivable follow-up

Strong communication and customer service skills

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
