Description We are looking for an experienced SFA/Finance Manager to join a contract opportunity in Needham Heights, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a finance specialist who can turn complex financial data into clear recommendations that support business performance and planning. The position will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen forecasting, reporting, and decision support within a fast-paced application services environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop monthly forecasts, evaluate results against plan, and explain key business factors affecting financial performance.
Perform detailed financial analysis across revenue, profitability, margin trends, and operating costs to guide strategic and operational decisions.
Create recurring management reports and presentation materials that translate financial findings into concise updates for leadership.
Collaborate with business partners during budgeting and planning activities to improve assumptions, align priorities, and refine financial outlooks.
Build financial models and ad hoc analyses to assess scenarios, risks, and opportunities across the organization.
Improve reporting workflows through automation and process enhancements that increase accuracy, speed, and usability.
Support month-end close activities by helping validate results, investigate variances, and ensure reliable financial reporting.
Use tools such as IBM Cognos TM1, Power BI, Certinia, Excel, and PowerPoint to manage planning, reporting, and performance analysis. Requirements - 7+ years of experience in finance, FP& A, or financial management roles.
Strong background in forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Hands-on experience with month-end close support and ongoing financial analysis.
Proficiency with IBM Cognos TM1, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with Certinia or FinancialForce is preferred.
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
