As a Security Officer Patrol State Site in Norwich, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with location protocols and assigned post orders.

Support daily operations by communicating professionally with staff and the public, following post instructions, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

CPR certification is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
