Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will perform a variety of multi-trade functions, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and replacing components, as well as basic design and fabrication tasks. Essential functions include knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and air power systems, PLCs, safety devices, and test cable repair and replacement.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities.

Troubleshoot and repair components and systems.

Perform basic design, simple fabrication, and welding tasks.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, and designs.

Keep accurate records for ordering replacement parts and maintaining equipment.

Regularly inspect and adjust manufacturing equipment.

Work with rigging and scaffolding to move heavy equipment.

Operate powered hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Communicate effectively about work scope, schedules, and material requirements.

Perform additional duties as required and assigned.

Essential Skills

Basic knowledge of electrical power systems including wire size, current, amps, volts, AC, and DC.

Understanding of hydraulic power systems including cylinders, valves, and oil force.

Familiarity with air power systems including cylinders, valves, and mufflers.

Experience with PLC ladder logic control and machine operation functions.

Knowledge of light curtains and other safety devices.

Ability to repair and replace test cables.

Experience in reading blueprints and recognizing details and variations.

Experience with rigging and scaffolding using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks, and lift trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associates or Bachelors in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

1-3 years of experience as a production, electrical, or mechanical engineer.

Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Experience with PLC programming, pneumatics, hydraulic systems, ladder logic, and industrial controls is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.87/hr.
