Description

An established law firm is seeking a dependable Legal Assistant to support a team of attorneys with day-to-day case management and administrative coordination. This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven legal environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence

Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track court deadlines to ensure timely filings

Handle electronic court filings and maintain accurate, well-organized case files

Serve as a point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Assist with document collection, case preparation, and basic legal research

Oversee daily office operations, including supply management, vendor coordination, and general office organization

Support billing, time entry, invoicing, and basic bookkeeping coordination

Manage incoming calls, mail, and front office responsibilities as needed

Help streamline administrative processes and ensure overall office efficiency

Requirements

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a Legal Assistant or similar role, with some administrative or office management exposure

Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures

Experience with e-filing and legal document preparation

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
