Job Title: Warehouse Technician
Job Description
The Warehouse Technician plays a key role in the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within a busy warehouse environment. This position uses forklifts, clamp trucks, and RF scanners to load and unload trucks, receive and store inventory, and pick and stage materials for outbound shipments. The role focuses on accuracy, safety, and maintaining organized warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Use material handling equipment to manage inbound and outbound shipments, including loading and unloading trucks and moving materials into and out of warehouse racks and between locations.
Handle inbound freight from carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL, ensuring materials are processed and routed correctly.
Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, including forklifts and clamp trucks, and complete required equipment inspections to confirm safe operating condition.
Immediately report any accidents, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor to maintain a safe work environment.
Stock and arrange products in designated locations to support efficient warehouse inventory turns and easy access to materials.
Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and support inventory control processes.
Receive material into inventory, move material between designated locations, and locate and pick material from warehouse locations as required.
Ensure accurate entry of part numbers, quantities, and related data into electronic systems to maintain precise records of receipts, inventory levels, and locations.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to material quantities, part numbers, or inventory records.
Locate parts while ensuring pallets are stable, pallet heights are appropriate, and that material, racking, and equipment are not damaged.
Keep aisles clear of materials and maintain orderly storage areas to support safety and efficient operations.
Practice safe material handling techniques at all times in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to support operational demands and meet business requirements.
Fulfill all duties in accordance with the designation of this position as safety sensitive, maintaining focus and adherence to safety standards at all times.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
Experience operating clamp trucks for handling palletized or large materials.
Ability to use RF scanners to locate, pick, receive, and move inventory accurately.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate part numbers, quantities, and data entry in electronic inventory systems.
Solid understanding of safe material handling techniques and warehouse safety practices.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse.
Capability to conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
Ability to work effectively in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining awareness and adherence to safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with processing inbound freight from common carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
Experience working with warehouse racking systems and palletized storage.
Comfort working with electronic inventory and warehouse management systems.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area through regular housekeeping tasks.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional overtime and weekend work as needed. You will regularly operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and RF scanners, and work around pallet racking, aisles, and loading docks. The position does not involve working at heights but does require frequent movement, loading, unloading, and handling of materials. The facility emphasizes safety-sensitive work practices, routine equipment inspections, and organized, clean work areas. Typical warehouse attire and appropriate safety gear are required in accordance with company policies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
