For more information please see: ACQDEMO Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the NH-0346-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Assist with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission. Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives. Correlate PM objectives with program plans to ensure required logistics support is provided at the right time and place. Coordinate and evaluate logistics support to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time. Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focusing on delivering a BMDS capability that is effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-03 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH - 02 grade level in the Federal service: Applicants are required to meet 3 of the 5 to be qualified. Provide support with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission. Apply logistics processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance for major weapon system programs. Identify and apply the concepts, policies, and practices of logistics management as they pertain to new and in-service systems during all acquisition phases of the life cycle. Provide operations and sustainment for a major weapon system. Research, plan, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and brief logistics actions in support of leadership's goals and vision. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
