Responsibilities Maintains local MCCS website and social media content. Researches latest trends, assists with developing and implementing marketing plans, maximizes traffic to MCCS website through search engine optimization, marketing, and other online advertising and social networking opportunities. Complies with established site content guidelines, back-end data management and other business rules. Evaluates the MCCS web audiences, understands their specific needs, and determines the best time of day and channels for communication. Creates, edits, and proofreads web content in WordPress. Works under the direction of the Marketing Director and closely with MCCS departments to ensure online messaging is consistent and accurate with the MCCS image. Conducts periodic reviews for compliance with MCCS policies and regulations and develops innovative solutions for content presentation. Measures the effectiveness of campaigns, etc., using Google Analytics. Monitors website(s) on an ongoing basis to ensure content is of a uniformly high quality by fixing broken links, reviewing content and identifying sections that need a greater depth of material. Maintains Social Media relationships associated with established profiles for Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. Proactively engages with users on a daily basis by implementing social networking strategies for all ads, promotions and special events offered by local MCCS. Constantly improves the MCCS social media strategy by leveraging innovative technologies and business practices. Creates online event registrations and e-commerce solutions. Manages event registration and email marketing databases. Serves as local MCCS subject matter expert on website and social media. Prepares supporting documentation for presentations and proposals. May also prepare other subject briefs and point papers for use by senior management. Periodically assists with marketing campaign creation and brainstorming for special events. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Three year in marketing, advertising, graphic design or related website and content management experience is required. Must be proficient in managing website content, marketing strategy and social media content. Bachelor's degree with one year of experience that demonstrates the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred. Must be familiar with WordPress, Survey Monkey, MailChimp and Eventbrite. Possess exceptional writing and communication skills. Must have solid organizational and detail oriented expertise with the ability to handle numerous projects at one time. Experience in the use of informational marketing and media methods such as graphic design, illustration, photography, broadcasting and computers is highly preferred. The ability to resolve complex issues, leading to recommendations and action plans.
