Job Duties: Associate, Business Audit with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Responsible for providing independent assurance for the firm's internal control structure, including management and performance of the audit including planning, execution and reporting; regulatory interactions; management of issue remediation; ongoing assessment of risk including sufficient assurance work to form a view as to the firm's control structure; and management of resources to achieve the audit plan. Participate in firm control initiatives; participation in industry and market forums to stay abreast of emerging issues and risks. Assist with planning, scoping, and execution of risk-based and regulatory required audits of business areas and processes. Maintain quarterly Internal Audit tracking of Risk theme coverage for reporting to the Board of Directors and performance of quarterly assessment of the financial impact quantitative analysis for execution process risk across auditable organizational units. Perform in-depth audits of controls supporting any combination of risk management and understanding with Investment Banking Private products including identifying complex transactions in order to assess the controls in place to maintain information barriers in line with regulatory expectations and give assurance that the firm is appropriately identifying and mitigating related risks. Assist with multiple audits concurrently, including the planning and scoping of the audits, employing audit and analytical procedures and techniques to assess the design and operating effectiveness of the controls to mitigate risks, and discussing the results with the firms local and global management. Define and execute the audit plan and continuous monitoring and risk assessment processes. Drive discussions with senior business stakeholders to understand risk drivers, control state, and impact in order to formulate a point of view of the control environment. Define audit scope and perform detailed walkthroughs to evaluate the adequacy of the control designs and develop test plans and perform testing to assess control operating effectiveness. Perform quarterly assessment of financial impact quantitative analysis for execution process risk across auditable organizational units. Maintain quarterly Internal Audit tracking of risk theme coverage in line with CFTC regulatory expectations for reporting to the Board of Directors. Validate the quality of internal SOX assessments. Drive report preparation by drafting commercially effective audit reports, including writing clear and concise findings. Present the scope, progress, and results of the review to internal audit management, business stakeholders and assisting with negotiating finalization of issues with senior client management. Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving Internal Audits processes and supporting infrastructure. Analyze data by applying various data analysis techniques and data mining to derive conclusions and make business decisions to drive projects. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior work experience must include two (2) years of experience with the following: contributing to execution of audits focused on financial and non-financial risk management including planning and scoping, fieldwork, and reporting within assigned timelines and in line with audit objectives in accordance with Audit Methodology; applying FINRA 3000 Supervisory requirements to evaluate supervisory structures and regional office coverage strategies; performing audits in line with best practice and regulatory expectations; assessing the controls in place to maintain information barriers in line with regulatory expectations for Investment Banking Private products; identifying and mitigating risks for complex transactions,
