Overview:
A well-established, mission-driven organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This role will support key accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts
Support financial statement preparation and analysis
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules, including construction in progress tracking
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Partner with AP, payroll, and billing teams to ensure accurate financial data flow
Support budget analysis and departmental financial reporting
Contribute to process improvements and special projects

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit, healthcare, or related environments
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Experience with general ledger accounting and close processes
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
Experience with accounting systems (Sage Intacct or similar preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
