Build Mission-Critical Software That Matters

At General Dynamics Information Technology, you'll work on high-impact systems that support national security missions at scale. We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to help design and build modern, cloud-native applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex backend challenges, building scalable microservices, and working with modern technologies alongside a strong technical team.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Kotlin microservices

Build high-throughput backend systems and APIs

Deploy and support applications in AWS using Docker and Kubernetes

Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems

Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices

Collaborate across Agile teams to deliver mission-focused solutions

Qualifications

Required

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Bachelor's degree in a technical field

5+ years of software development experience

4+ years of Java development experience

Experience with microservices, Spring, Docker, and Kubernetes

Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture

Preferred

Experience leading Agile development teams

Mentoring or technical leadership experience

Linux experience

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
