Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Job Description
This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving industrial electrical equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment. You will diagnose and repair electrical issues using tools such as digital multimeters and PCs to interface with various PLCs, while supporting both production and facility electrical needs. You will also perform preventive maintenance and participate in equipment installations and modifications to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment using tools such as digital multimeters, PCs, and other diagnostic devices to connect to and work with various PLCs.
Maintain equipment through a structured preventive maintenance program and work order system to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
Perform and assist in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems in an industrial setting.
Conduct building electrical work, including running conduit, pulling wires, and replacing light fixtures and related components.
Read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and diagrams to support troubleshooting, installations, and modifications.
Work safely at all times by following OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E electrical safety guidelines.
Troubleshoot and support PLC-based control systems, including understanding and working with ladder logic.
Support and troubleshoot motion control systems, where applicable, to ensure proper operation of automated equipment.
Design and implement small electrical projects, modifications, and improvements as needed, where qualified.
Communicate effectively with maintenance, production, and other teams to coordinate work, share findings, and support continuous improvement.
Provide weekend support as needed to maintain equipment reliability and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial electrical environment.
Minimum of 2 years of schooling in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation, or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting.
Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and diagrams accurately.
Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), AC motors, DC drives, and DC motors.
Knowledge of PLCs with a solid understanding of ladder logic for troubleshooting and basic programming tasks.
Basic computer skills to use maintenance software, documentation tools, and PC-based interfaces for PLCs and equipment.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
Availability to work weekends as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master or Journeyman Electrician card preferred.
Experience working with and troubleshooting motion control systems preferred.
Capability to design and implement small electrical projects preferred.
Experience using digital multimeters and other electrical test equipment.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.
Comfort working with PC-based tools to connect to and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $95680.00/yr.
