Visiting Assistant Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering seeks to fill two (2) Visiting Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, beginning August 1st, 2026. The successful candidate will hold an earned MS and/or be registered in a PhD program in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering or related discipline with the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate engineering courses. Review of applications will begin immediate and continue until the positions are filled. Screening interviews will be conducted via teleconferencing. The selected candidate is expected to contribute towards advancing the mission and vision of both the department and the Coulter School of Engineering. The standard teaching load for this position is three courses per semester with no more than two new preparations per semester.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned MS and/or Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer or related discipline. Ph.D. candidates wishing to explore an academic career in teaching, will be considered.

Range: $80,000- $85,000 based on experience
