THE POSITION
Become a valued part of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Ticket Booth Clerk and greet visitors at Little Buffalo State Park swimming pool with confidence and care. This position gives you the chance to help guests enjoy their time while keeping daily operations running well. You will grow useful communication and service skills in a lively setting. Take pride in supporting a park that families rely on for fun and relaxation.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will play an important part in helping park operations run smoothly and by providing visitors with the information and service they need to enjoy Little Buffalo State Park swimming pool. As a Ticket Booth Clerk , you will perform the following duties:
Public Assistance:Provide courteous information to visitors and explain park rules and procedures
Payment Handling:Take payments, follow cash handling rules, and maintain accurate transaction records
Record Keeping:Maintain daily forms, receipts, and cash register tapes with accuracy
Clerical Support: Operate office equipment, answer calls, prepare registration for campers, and sell swimming pool passes and group tickets
Facility Upkeep:Keep the booth area organized and perform light cleaning tasks
System Use:Enter transactions into the reservation and revenue system and reconcile cash drawers

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately May 2026 until September 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately May 2027.
Typical work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
Shifts and days will vary including weekends and holidays. You will work 5 of 7 days/37.5 hours per week.
