Supply Chain Program Manager

Pay Rate: $40 - $75/hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Adecco is assisting a local San Jose, CA client in seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to lead equipment and asset strategy while driving strategic sourcing initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will play a critical part in maximizing asset value, optimizing supplier partnerships, and supporting operational scalability.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams while serving as a key liaison to external suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Asset Strategy

Assess equipment disposition opportunities and recommend optimal value recovery strategies

Evaluate whether assets should be sold, repurposed, dismantled, or otherwise dispositioned

Prioritize high-value equipment and develop execution plans to maximize return and efficiency

Coordinate logistics, storage, and timelines for equipment management

Review technical specifications, drawings, and purchase documentation to support accurate external communication

Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination

Act as a primary point of contact for buyers, brokers, suppliers, and service providers

Partner cross-functionally with operations, facilities, engineering, procurement, and finance teams

Maintain tracking tools, documentation, and reporting to drive organization and execution

Enable timely decision-making while balancing operational constraints and value optimization

Strategic Sourcing

Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for capital equipment, indirect materials, and services

Support project execution and operational growth through sourcing initiatives

Identify and onboard vendors for manufacturing, installation, and service operations

Lead commercial negotiations including MSAs, SOWs, and project agreements

Ensure scope clarity, cost competitiveness, and supplier accountability

Manage supplier relationships, performance, and ongoing engagements

Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, risks, and cost structures

Communicate demand forecasts and sourcing requirements

Develop sourcing strategies for long-lead and high-risk materials/equipment

Partner with engineering teams on NPI and design-for-cost initiatives

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Strong negotiation skills

Experience with CapEx procurement and sourcing

Proficiency in Excel for analysis, tracking, and reporting

Experience with ERP and purchasing tools (Coupa, Microsoft Business Central preferred)

Preferred

3-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, operations, or asset management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial and operational trade-offs

Familiarity with capital or industrial equipment environments

Experience reviewing technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, or purchase records

Background in supplier negotiations and contract management

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams

Exposure to inventory systems, sourcing analytics tools, or ERP platforms

Experience with equipment resale, refurbishment, or redeployment initiatives

Pay Details: $40.00 to $74.00 per hour
