As a Director of Supply Chain Programs 1 , you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is located in Magna, UT. FT remote work is not available.
In this job you will:
Be a part of the business unit executive management team accountable for the supply chain strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for four different operating units within the business unit
Lead an organization of GSC program managers and oversee the related subcontract and procurement scope of stakeholder organizations representing over $1.4B in budgeted spend
Act as the focal point for the entire supply chain and coordinate cross-functionality to ensure supply chain commitments are met including subcontracts and procurement scope
Lead supply chain program execution and oversees material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution
Ensure appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks to suppliers
Lead the material strategy and activities for GSC in all phases of the business acquisition process for the business unit
Responsible to ensure that prior to program execution, supply chain program plans have appropriate budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontract strategies to properly execute requirements
Work closely with supply chain organizations including a centralized procurement team, supplier quality, and division subcontracts organization to ensure supply chain commitments are met
Responsible to the business unit executive management team to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers or supply chain execution
Brief the business unit executive management and division and sector GSC leadership on any necessary action plans to address issues affecting program supply, cost, and schedule performance
Work cohesively with other executive leaders of other disciplines such as engineering, operations, quality, and other personnel to manage material performance and ensure delivery of hardware to support production needs within budget
Position requires on-site presence and travel between three major production facilities in northern Utah
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years' experience in supply chain, program management, purchasing or related field - OR - Master's degree with 8 + years' experience in supply chain, program management, purchasing or related field
Strong knowledge and background in government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)
Strong leadership skills and experience with an ability to communicate feedback in a manner that fosters collaboration, trust, builds positive relationships, and influence and lead positive changes
Experience successfully leading executing budgets and schedules of significant scope and complexity
Ability to lead strategic initiatives that impact long-term business goals in addition to urgent requirements to support day-to-day operations
Experience and comfort level working and supporting Earned Value Management requirements
Experience implementing and leading material program plans to meet program objectives
Skilled in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
Expertise in leading and supporting complex proposals containing significant supply chain scope
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate feedback in a manner that fosters collaboration, trust, and builds positive relationships
Ability to mentor and motivate others to meet complex objectives
Competence to work in an integrated team environment and influence change
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration
Capability to read technical drawings and documents
Experience sourcing and working with critical suppliers for solid rocket motors including understanding of critical raw materials, complex machined parts, and other major components critical to solid rocket motor performance
High Proficiency working with MRP/ERP systems
Ability to communicate complex technical information internal customers
Strong background managing subcontracts and negotiating terms and conditions
Experience working and managing a government approved purchasing system
Ability to communicate complex technical information to internal and external customers
Primary Level Salary Range: $176,100.00 - $264,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
