Job Description
This role supports the shipping and warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and preparing products for distribution. You will work under direct supervision to handle merchandise accurately, maintain organized storage areas, and ensure customer and stock orders are processed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Generate shipping manifests and dispatch documentation, and confirm customer and stock orders in the warehouse system.
Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.
Verify merchandise documentation and accurately record incoming merchandise by part number and quantity.
Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence or storage plan.
Prepare products for distribution within the facility, ensuring items are properly staged for internal movement or shipment.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping.
Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Arrange stock parts in specified sequence to support assembly activities performed by other workers.
Create and enter records for manifests in the warehouse computer system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to locate, pick, and track inventory as required.
Follow all safety rules while working around forklifts, hand carts, and other material handling equipment in narrow aisles.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse standards.
Essential Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
0-6 months of warehouse experience preferred, with willingness to learn standard warehouse processes.
Ability to interpret warehouse documents and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic familiarity with warehouse activities such as picking, packing, shipping, and material handling.
Capability to use or learn RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory tracking.
Strong attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, and documentation.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with material handling equipment.
Willingness to work the 2pm to 10:30pm shift consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as a warehouse associate, material handler, order puller, or in shipping and receiving is an advantage.
Experience with forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is helpful; no prior certification is required.
Eligibility to be certified on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire.
Comfort using warehouse computer systems to create and update manifests and records.
Ability to organize merchandise systematically on racks, shelves, totes, or bins.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow predetermined sequences for stocking and assembly support.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
